Children’s Ground continued to successfully implement their First Nations lead 25-year strategy to address the underlying causes of long-term complex disadvantage and injustice, creating generational change through education, health, employment, culture and community development. In FY25 they delivered over 430 learning sessions for children across early and primary years, over 470 health promotion programs across communities in Central Australia and engaged 500 community members in cultural, youth and family programs, strengthening skills, leadership and connection.
We supported Clontarf Foundation academies in NSW and Victoria, helping nearly 480 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young men to attend school, complete year 12 and transition to a trade, university or the workforce.
We helped FareShare provide approximately 180,000 meals to 20 First Nations communities, and our support of St Kilda Football Club saw ten scholarships awarded promoting leadership and wellbeing through sport. Additionally, Stepping Stone House’s Bawaga Program offered camps, creative projects, and activities to build confidence and belonging.
Fifty-five First Nations people were employed using the funding provided by Goodman Foundation.
