Raise Foundation

Improving Social and mental wellbeing

We partnered with several organisations globally to strengthen psychosocial wellbeing through mental health services, social support, and resilience-building programs. We’ve helped people facing hardship—whether domestic violence, food and housing insecurity, natural disasters or education and employment challenges—access care, build confidence and improve life skills.

Mental health

Goodman Foundation opens doors to mental health support for people navigating hardship – empowering them to find hope and the care they deserve.

Our partners create community spaces that reduce isolation and foster belonging – building supportive environments that enable lasting change.

Through our partnership with Raise Foundation, young Australians are matched with trained volunteer mentors, including our own people, who listen, guide and encourage them, building confidence, resilience and belonging. Through Goodman’s long-term commitment, together with Raise we’ve supported over 1,700 young people and delivered measurable improvements in mental health. Mentor training creates a ripple effect, benefiting families and communities.

Our support of Black Dog Institute helps close the mental health treatment gap through ClearlyMe®, the world’s first evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy app for teens. Launched in August 2024, it’s had over 26,000 downloads as of July 2025. Early data shows improved wellbeing amongst users. A blended care model is now in development to extend impact, integrating on-line support with professional care.

Creating safer futures for women and children

We partner with leading organisations to prevent gender-based violence and support those affected. We’re the founding partners of the Our Watch Institute, launched in August 2023, to accelerate workplace and community initiatives promoting gender equality. Over the past year, the Institute trained more than 1,500 people across 13 organisations, including Goodman, with over 70% reporting increased confidence and skills to act against gender-based violence.

Our funding for Women’s Community Shelters enabled them to expand their network to provide safe accommodation and wraparound services, including counselling, legal assistance, and employment support, helping women rebuild independence.

The Foundation also supports Thread Together to deliver brand new clothing to women and children escaping violence and funded St Kilda Football Club to develop programs addressing gender-based violence.
